1. About AIVI Books

AIVI Books is a brand operated by SIA Lepshey, a company registered in Latvia.

  • Company: SIA Lepshey
  • Registration number: 40203328370
  • VAT number: LV40203328370
  • Registered address: Matīsa iela 61–26, Rīga, LV-1009, Latvia
  • Email: [email protected]

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the AIVI Books website.

2. Eligibility and Orders

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

A purchase contract is formed when payment has been successfully completed, subject to applicable law. We will provide an order confirmation and relevant purchase information by email.

If information required to personalise your book is missing or incomplete, we may pause production and contact you to request the missing information.

If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you to discuss the available options. Where we are unable to fulfil the contract, any refund or other remedy will be provided as required by applicable law.

3. Personalised Books

AIVI Books creates personalised printed books using information and photographs supplied by the customer.

You are responsible for checking the spelling of names, dates and other personalisation details before submitting your order.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights, permissions and, where applicable, authority to provide any photograph you upload, including photographs of children or other individuals, for the creation of your book.

If a photograph cannot reasonably be used to create the book, we may ask you to provide another photograph.

AI-assisted illustrations are artistic interpretations of the supplied photograph. They may differ from the original photograph, and we do not guarantee an exact photographic likeness or identical results in every illustration.

4. Prices and Payment

The price of each book is displayed on the website before payment and includes applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Payments are processed through Stripe or the payment services made available at checkout. AIVI Books does not receive or store your full payment card details.

The price confirmed at checkout applies to your order. Changes to the price of an existing order require your agreement or another lawful basis. Promotional codes and discounts are subject to the specific terms displayed for each promotion.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or charged more than once, please contact [email protected]. We will assist in investigating the payment and arranging any refund due.

5. Production and Delivery

Production begins after successful payment and receipt of all information reasonably required to create your personalised book.

The estimated production period is approximately 14 days from the start of production. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed production deadline.

Delivery is handled by third-party delivery providers. Estimated delivery time within Europe is generally 2–8 business days, depending on the destination country, the delivery provider and the delivery service selected. This is an estimate only and does not constitute a guaranteed delivery deadline unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Actual delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, customs procedures, public holidays, incorrect delivery information or exceptional disruptions. Where we become aware of a material delay, we will inform you and provide available information about the expected delivery.

The production and delivery estimates above do not exclude or restrict any delivery deadline or remedy that applies under mandatory consumer protection law. Unless another period has been agreed with you, applicable Latvian law generally requires delivery within 30 days of conclusion of the contract. If we fail to deliver within the applicable period, you may be entitled to require delivery within an appropriate additional period or to terminate the contract and receive a refund, as provided by law. Immediate termination may be available in circumstances specified by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address and contact details provided at checkout are complete and accurate. If incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you causes a delivery problem, we will assess the circumstances and inform you of any available options. Additional costs may be charged only where permitted by applicable law. This does not limit our responsibility for errors made by us or our fulfilment partners.

If your parcel appears to be lost or arrives damaged, please contact [email protected]. We will investigate the matter with the relevant delivery or fulfilment partner and work with you to resolve it. As required by applicable law, AIVI Books remains responsible for the goods until you, or a person designated by you, acquire physical possession of them.

6. Changes, Cancellation and Refunds

Each AIVI Books book is created using personalisation details supplied by the customer. Once an order has been placed and paid for, cancellation or changes may no longer be possible, particularly after production has started.

You may contact [email protected] to request a change or cancellation. We will consider the request where it is technically and operationally possible, but we cannot guarantee that it can be accommodated.

Statutory right of withdrawal

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised, where the legal requirements for this exception are met. This exception does not automatically apply to every product or circumstance.

Errors in customer-provided information

You are responsible for checking all names, dates and other details entered for personalisation before submitting your order.

If a book accurately reflects the information you provided but that information was incorrect, AIVI Books is not responsible for the resulting personalisation error. Subject to availability, we may offer a replacement book at an additional charge. Any applicable replacement and delivery costs will be communicated to you before you decide whether to proceed.

This provision does not apply where an error was caused by AIVI Books or its production partners, or where the book otherwise fails to conform to the order or applicable legal requirements.

Photograph suitability

If a submitted photograph cannot reasonably be used to create the book, we may request a replacement photograph. Production may be paused while we await the necessary information.

If the book cannot be produced, we will discuss the available options with you and provide any refund or other remedy required by applicable law.

7. Defective or Non-Conforming Books

If your book arrives damaged, contains a production error, or does not conform to your order or applicable legal requirements, please contact [email protected] and describe the problem. Where reasonably possible, please include photographs to help us assess the issue.

AIVI Books will assess each claim individually and in accordance with applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, the available remedies may include bringing the product into conformity, replacement, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract and a refund.

Where a remedy is legally required, AIVI Books will bear the necessary costs, including applicable return and reshipping costs.

Nothing in these Terms limits the customer’s mandatory statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming goods. Under applicable Latvian law, claims concerning non-conformity of goods may generally be made within two years of delivery, subject to the relevant legal conditions.

8. Intellectual Property

The AIVI Books website, branding, original text, designs and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use your purchased book for personal and family purposes. You may not resell the book or commercially exploit its content or illustrations without prior written permission from AIVI Books, except where such restriction is not permitted by applicable law.

You are responsible for ensuring that the materials you upload do not unlawfully infringe the rights of others.

9. Use of Images for Marketing

AIVI Books will not use your personalisation photograph, identifiable images of a child, or your personalised book in advertising or promotional materials merely because you purchased a book or did not object.

Any such use requires separate, prior and voluntary consent where applicable. Refusing or withdrawing marketing consent will not affect your ability to purchase a book.

Further information about the processing and retention of photographs and other personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.

10. Liability and Applicable Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protections available under the laws applicable to their consumer contract.

If you have a question or complaint, please contact us first at [email protected]. You may also use any complaint, dispute-resolution or other legal procedure available under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions by publishing a revised version on the AIVI Books website with an updated effective date.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not retrospectively remove rights or alter the agreed terms of an existing order, except where permitted by law or agreed with the customer.
